The Teacher Imparts Instruction
When the teacher imparts instruction, the disciple takes it as his standard. Be warm, respectful, and humble; receive what is given to the utmost. See goodness and follow it; hear duty and submit to it. Be gentle, filial, and brotherly; do not be arrogant or rely on force. Let your will be free of emptiness and crookedness; let your conduct be upright and straight. In your leisure and dwelling maintain constancy; always seek out the virtuous.
Notes
