This chapter contains two of the most famous economic stratagems in the Guanzi: the 'Yinli stone jade' scheme (creating artificial scarcity of jade to attract tribute) and the 'Jingmao cogon grass' scheme (manipulating ritual requirements to generate revenue for the Zhou court).
